Honoring a Compassionate Priest

Saint Peter Claver, born in 1580 in Spain, dedicated his life to the service of enslaved Africans in Colombia. After arriving in Cartagena, he became known as the 'Apostle of the Slaves,' tirelessly working to alleviate their suffering and advocate for their dignity.

His ministry included providing spiritual care, education, and basic necessities to those who were often treated as less than human. Claver's unwavering commitment to love and serve the marginalized serves as a powerful example for families today, encouraging them to reflect on their own call to compassion and justice.
