Patron Saint of Conscience

Heavenly Father, through Jesus our Savior, we come before You with gratitude for the precious gift of life, created in Your Divine likeness. Safeguard us, the temple of Your Holy Spirit, ensuring our well-being in both body and spirit. Lord Jesus, Divine Healer, we ask that Your grace be poured out upon all who suffer from illnesses or ailments. Shield the vulnerable among us — those battling sickness, enduring suffering, facing frailty, dealing with poverty, or in their advanced years, including the unborn. Holy Spirit, inspire the hearts of all engaged in the healing professions, so they may honor the dignity of every individual from their first moments until their natural end, remaining steadfast advocates for those entrusted to their care. Grant healthcare providers a renewed sense of purpose in their vocation, along with deeper understanding to care for the entire person, not just their ailments. Uphold the rights of medical practitioners to serve their patients without compromising their moral and spiritual beliefs. Protect them from discrimination, allowing them to faithfully follow Your teachings while fulfilling their roles. Inspire our legislators with the wisdom and bravery to protect conscience rights for those called to the healing ministry, empowering them to resist the temptations to be complicit in a culture that undermines the sanctity of life. Strengthen us to be courageous and joyful bearers of the truth that every human life is sacred. In Your graciousness, protect our freedom to express our faith and to pursue You in all aspects of our lives. We ask these things in the name of Jesus, through the Holy Spirit. Amen.
