Patron Saint of Theologians

For wisdom and understanding
O incomprehensible Creator, You who from the wealth of Your wisdom have established three orders of Angels and set them in magnificent arrangement above the heavens, and have wisely allocated the parts of the universe; You, who are known as the true source of light and wisdom, and the supreme origin, please bestow upon the shadows of my understanding, in which I was born, the dual radiance of Your glory, cleansing me from all darkness of sin and ignorance. You who give voice to the mute, teach my tongue, and grant my lips the grace of Your blessing. Endow me with swiftness of understanding, ability to retain knowledge, insight for interpretation, ease in learning, and an abundance of grace in speaking. Lead me in my endeavors, direct my progress, and fulfill my pursuits; through Christ our Lord. Amen.
