A Christmas Day Prayer

We praise You, Lord God! You have taken on our humanity, becoming fully human while retaining Your divine power and holiness! O Lord, You chose the path of the unborn, entering the world as an embryo, a fetus, and a newborn, intimately connecting Yourself with all children yet to be born and those in their infancy. From the dawn of creation, You were the Author of all human existence. Now, on this Christmas day, You unite with Your creation in a profound and unimaginable manner. May this Christmas fill us with reverence and amazement at the closeness of human life to You. Purge our world of anything that diminishes or dismisses this precious gift. Cleanse our hearts of any fear surrounding it. May our joy this Christmas reflect the joy of embracing every human life!Amen.
