A Prayer Against Abortion: Repentance For Having Destroyed Life.

Heavenly Father, O Almighty God, I bow before Your divine presence. You, who are the source of all life, You, who breathe life into every spirit. I acknowledge my sins before You, I have infringed upon Your command, "You shall not kill." With a contrite heart, I repent of my wrongdoing, I confess my guilt and plead for Your forgiveness. You have prescribed justice—an eye for an eye, a tooth for a tooth and a life for a life [Leviticus 24:17-21]; if You measure my transgressions, I stand to face eternal condemnation, but in You, there is grace and compassion [Psalm 130:2-3]. Lord, show me mercy, for I am a sinner. You have ordained repentance as the key to absolution, entrusting Your Church with the authority to forgive sins. I commit to confessing my failings to a priest and I beseech You to mend the wounds of my spirit. Heal me, O Lord, sanctify me from every offense. Let the precious Blood of Jesus envelop me, for I have caused the loss of innocent blood, I have taken life, and You are the essence of all life. Now, I implore You, by the might of Your Precious Blood, grant me forgiveness and free me from my transgressions. Beloved Mother Mary, Ever-Virgin, mother of all who live, mother of life, I am your child, forgive my sins and intercede for me, take me into the sanctuary of your Immaculate Heart and assist me in adhering to God's commandments. Mother Mary, you bore the child I turned away. I commend that soul to you and to Your Son, my Lord Jesus Christ. Pray for us, O Holy Mother of God, that we may truly merit the promises of Christ.Amen.
