A Prayer Before Mass (Monday)

O King of virgins and Guardian of purity, please erase within me the stirrings of worldly desires through the dew of Your divine blessing. Help me to remain chaste in both spirit and body. Subdue within my flesh all sinful inclinations and harmful feelings, and grant me the gift of true and unwavering purity, along with those other blessings that please You genuinely. Thus, with a chaste body and a sincere heart, may I offer You the sacrifice of praise. For with what deep contrition and tears, with what awe and reverence, with what purity of heart and body, should that Divine and sacred Sacrifice be celebrated, wherein we partake of Your flesh and drink from Your blood, where earthly and heavenly realities converge, attended by holy Angels, and where You are present in a wondrous and indescribable manner as both Sacrifice and Priest!Amen.
