A Prayer Before Mass (Tuesday)

Who can truly approach this Sacred Offering, unless You, O God, make them fit? I acknowledge, O Lord, and I truly recognize Your mercy, that I am unworthy to come near to such a profound Mystery due to my countless sins and oversights. Yet I believe deeply in my heart and confess with my lips that You have the power to make me worthy, You alone can purify what is impure and transform sinners into righteous and holy beings. Through Your Almighty power, I humbly ask, O my God, that I, a sinner, may partake in this Sacrifice with reverence and trepidation, with a clean heart and abundant tears, filled with spiritual joy and heavenly delight. May my spirit sense the sweetness of Your most blessed Presence, and may the love of Your holy Angels, who are vigilantly watching over me, surround me.
