A Prayer For America

Heavenly Father, we are once more reminded that our safety, both as individuals and as a nation, stems solely from our unwavering hope and trust in You. We are deeply saddened by the loss of life and the disturbances to peace that our nation has endured. Therefore, Lord, we turn to You today, seeking Your peace for the families and victims affected by this tragic event. For those who remain lost amidst the debris of destruction, we implore Your protective hand. For those overwhelmed by anxiety and fear as they search for missing loved ones, we ask for the soothing presence of Your Spirit. We seek Your peace for the first responders, asking for Your protection over them as they strive to ensure the safety of others. Grant them the wisdom required to excel in their roles beyond their training. Additionally, we lift up our nation and the world to You, requesting Your peace. Amidst our uncertainty and questions, we acknowledge that the details of this day are already known to You. We trust in Your Son, the Prince of Peace, who oversees even this moment. Strengthen us as a nation to remain humble, to pray, and to earnestly seek Your guidance for a fresh start in America and renewed hope for our world.
