A Prayer For Elected Officials

O Lord, from whom all authority flows, and through whose divine will all things are established, we express our gratitude for our civil freedoms and the rights we enjoy. We humbly ask You to bless, support, and guide the Senators from our State (here mention their names) and the Congressman for our District (here mention his name). May they be deserving of the trust bestowed upon them by their constituents. May they act with integrity and fairness in their decisions, be honest in all their undertakings, and let their consciences direct their legislative actions. Pardon us for our errors and selfish inclinations, and prepare us through our virtuous acts for everlasting communion with You, through Christ our Lord.Amen.
