A Prayer For Final Perseverance

Eternal Father, I bow before You in worship and gratitude, thankful for my existence and my redemption through Your Son, Jesus Christ. I express my heartfelt thanks for making me a Christian, gifting me with true faith, and welcoming me as Your child through the sacrament of baptism. I am deeply appreciative for Your patience after my countless transgressions, waiting for my turn to repent and forgiving (as I humbly believe) all the wrongs I have done to You. I am truly sorry for them, for they have offended You, who is all goodness. I am grateful for the ways You have protected me from numerous downfalls, which I would have succumbed to without Your guidance. Yet, my adversaries persist, striving until my final breath to lead me astray and bind me to sin. Without Your constant protection and assistance, I, a wretched being, may slip back into sin and surely forfeit Your grace. Therefore, I implore You, in the name of Jesus Christ, to grant me the gift of steadfastness until my dying day. Your Son has assured us that You will give whatever we ask in His name. Hence, through the merits of Jesus Christ, I ask for myself and for all the righteous, the grace to remain forever embraced by Your love, loving You eternally in this life and beyond. Mary, Mother of God, intercede with Jesus on my behalf.Amen.
