A Prayer For Grandparents

Beloved St. Ann, You were indeed doubly blessed, Having our holy Mother as your child And our Lord Jesus as your grandson. I recognize that each stage In our lives carries its own duties Alongside our many joys. It seems that these days Grandparents often face a dilemma: Either we are sidelined With little to do, Or we are overwhelmed With every task. Guide me in understanding What my specific responsibilities are In my current role, And grant me the strength to fulfill them well. Watch over my family, Both my children and their offspring. Encourage them to walk in the footsteps Of your Grandson, Living genuine Christian lives. Surround us all With your tender care, Keep us steadfast in our devotion to Jesus, And assist us in the end So that we may rejoice In the splendor of your Grandson’s presence eternally. Holy St. Ann, intercede for us grandparents.Amen.
