A Prayer For Inner Peace

Lord, please instill Your tranquility within my heart. I am beset with worry and anxiety. My thoughts race and become obsessive, fixated on my troubles. The more I dwell on them, the deeper my despair grows. I sense myself being pulled under, akin to sinking in quicksand with no escape. Bring me calm, O Lord. Help me to slow down and fill my heart with Your peace. Regardless of the challenges I face, Lord, I recognize that You are greater and more powerful than any issue at hand. Therefore, I bring my concerns before You. I am aware of my desires and intentions, yet I am uncertain of Yours. I cannot foresee how You will turn this trial into an opportunity for my salvation or what good may emerge from this difficulty. Still, I place my trust in You. I have faith in Your goodness and wisdom. Hence, I surrender myself into Your care. Please imbue my heart with peace.Amen.
