A Prayer For Peace

O Almighty God, in whom the fates of individuals and nations reside, may the aspirations of humanity not be lost, nor the sacrifices made by many go unrecognized. O holy and life-giving Spirit, grant us the grace to eliminate the bitterness born from past injustices and the desire for retribution over past betrayals. Deliver us from the constraints of history and release us into a renewed commitment to support one another in this moment. Acknowledging the redemption you have accomplished for us, we trust that your mercy covers all our transgressions of the past. Therefore, bestow upon us the grace and strength to both offer and accept forgiveness, the only remedy for the wounds of today. Lead us, O Lord, towards compassion and direct us along the path of peace.
