A Prayer For Priests

O Divine Saviour, Jesus Christ, who has placed the mission of redemption in the hands of priests who represent You here on earth, I bring before You, through the intercession of Your most holy Mother, all my prayers, efforts, joys, sacrifices, and sufferings of this day, intended for the sanctification of Your priests and those who will be priests in the future. Grant us holy priests. Bestow upon them hearts that are apostolic and overflowing with love for You and all those entrusted to them, so that by their own sanctification in You, they may bring holiness to those in their care and lead us safely to Heaven. Dear Jesus, bless their priestly endeavors and sacrifices. May You bless their prayers and words at the altar, in the confessional, from the pulpit, in the school, and at the bedside of the sick. Inspire many young men to answer the call to the priesthood and monastic life. Protect and sanctify those who will become Your priests, and grant eternal rest to the souls of priests who have passed from this life. And you, Mary, Mother of all priests, watch over them with your special protection and guide them toward the highest sanctity in their sacred calling.
