A Prayer For Protection Against Fires

O Almighty and everlasting God, we beseech You for Your safeguard against the destructive forces of fire. Fire is vital for our survival, yet when it spirals out of control, it can lead to devastation beyond compare. Shield our homes, buildings, forests, and fields from this peril. Grant us the wisdom to handle fire with utmost care, particularly in the winter months when it is most essential. In those times, the loss of our homes to fire causes us great anguish. Additionally, we humbly ask You to instill in us a healthy dread of the fires of desire, along with the strength of Your grace to master them. May we also cultivate a fear of hell’s flames, enabling us to steer clear of grave sin and to lead lives filled with virtue and righteousness, through Christ our Lord.Amen.
