A Prayer For Temperance

Lord Jesus, You demonstrated the virtue of moderation; You exemplified self-control, avoiding excess in earthly matters. Recognizing my body as a sacred temple, I must honor it with continuous care. Abuses harm the body, whether through alcohol, drugs, or overeating. I ask You, Lord Jesus, to grant me strength so that my spirit can govern my physical being and enable me to embrace the virtue of temperance. You are my source of strength; through You, I find all things possible.
