A Prayer For The Corn

O Almighty and eternal God, You, who reign over the harvest, now witness the fields across the land beneath the warmth of the August sky, where rows of corn stand tall. Their broad leaves soak up the sunlight, rustling gently in the breeze. Please bless our crop, Lord, and grant it abundance and richness. This grain that fills the fields will sustain countless people, and nourish numerous animals as well. Protect it from disease and pests, provide ample rainfall and sunlight, and prevent the early frost from harming it. Assist us as we gather this harvest, Lord, so that the hungry may receive nourishment and the needs of the poor may be met. We express our gratitude for all Your blessings. We ask You to bless our efforts in the fields, and grant us a bountiful harvest, that with thankful hearts and devoted spirits, we may always fulfill Your will, with the strength of Your grace, through Jesus Christ, Your Son, our Lord, who lives and reigns with You forever in the unity of the Holy Spirit.Amen.
