A Prayer For The Gift Of Understanding

Lord Jesus Christ, I ask for the grace of understanding. Please assist me in recognizing the emotions and aspirations of those around me. Help me to grasp their goals and intentions. At the same time, guide me in reflecting upon myself in my behaviors and responses. Expand my perspective beyond my limited experience so that I may embrace and appreciate the lives of others with both knowledge and compassion. Remind me, Lord, to witness your presence in my life as well as in the lives of others. Grant me the wisdom, acceptance, and love that flows from you, who encompass all that humanity needs. Help me to comprehend, Lord.Amen.
