A Prayer For True Repentance And Pardon

Here I kneel before You, O Jesus of Nazareth, recognizing myself as the most unworthy of all, filled with humility and sorrow for my shortcomings! Please show me mercy, O Lord, according to the greatness of Your compassion! I admit that I have sinned, and I am constantly aware of my faults. Yet, my soul is Yours, for You created it and redeemed it with Your Precious Blood. O, grant that Your saving work may not be in vain! Have compassion on me; bless me with tears of sincere repentance; forgive me because I am Your child; forgive me as You forgave the repentant thief; look down upon me from Your glorious throne in heaven and bestow upon me Your blessing.
