A Prayer In Time Of Distress

In times of darkness, I will journey through shadowy paths, not fearing harm because You are near. Your staff and rod provide me with strength; no evil shall touch me, and I shall not falter. You do not allow my steps to waver or my guardian to slumber; You lead me away from all harm. The Lord watches over me; He is my protection. The heat of the day cannot harm me, nor can the moon at night. The Lord reassures us, "Do not let your hearts be troubled; trust in God and also in Me. In My Father’s house, there are countless places to dwell. If that were not the case, I would have told you that I am preparing a place for you. And if I go to make a place for you, I will return and take you with Me, so that where I am, you may be as well." If God is on our side, who can stand against us?
