A Prayer In Time Of Sickness Or Trials

O merciful Jesus, I willingly accept this illness [or challenge] that You have chosen to bestow upon me. I bring all my suffering to Your Sacred Heart and implore You to join my pains with Your profound sufferings, thus transforming them by making them part of Your own. Since I am unable to offer You the praise You deserve due to my heavy burdens and trials, I ask You to honor God the Father on my behalf for everything I endure, with the same heartfelt tribute of gratitude You gave Him at the peak of Your agony on the Cross. As You expressed thanks with the depth of Your soul for every suffering and injustice that He permitted you to face, I beseech You to also give thanks for my hardships. Unite my physical and spiritual struggles with Your most sacred pains, offering them to Him for His eternal honor and glory.Amen.
