A Prayer To Christ The King

O Almighty and eternal God, after establishing the heavens and the earth along with all living creatures, both plants and animals, You created humanity. You appointed him ruler over Your entire creation, granting him dominion over all that exists in the world. Only to him among all earthly beings did You give the faculty of thought and the ability to choose. All else was designed to support man. When humanity fell into sin, You sent Your Son as the King of all people and the Savior of the human family. He reigns not just over humanity, but over the vast universe as well. He is the 'firstborn of every creature.' Our King, with all that we possess crafted and bestowed upon us to serve Him, we are called to engage with it not through selfishness, but with gratitude and generosity, aware that we are all subjects in the kingdom of our great King Jesus. Assist us in remembering this as we tend to His fields lent to us for a while, and as we gather fruit from His bounty provided by His abundant grace. Grant us the wisdom to manage the gifts He offers with care, so that we may attain the eternal rewards He has earned for us. May we strive to be faithful and devoted subjects of Christ our King, longing to dwell with Him, our conqueror and monarch, forever in heaven.Amen.
