A Prayer To Say Before The Holy Mass

O Almighty and eternal God, I come before You as I prepare to receive the sacrament of Your beloved Son, Our Lord Jesus Christ. I arrive before the healer of souls in my sickness, unclean before the source of mercy, blind before the light of eternity, and impoverished before You, the Lord of all creation. Lord, in Your immense generosity, restore my health, cleanse my impurities, open my eyes to the truth, enrich my emptiness, and cover my shame. Let me partake in the bread of angels, the King of kings and Lord of lords, with deep humility, purity of heart, faith, sorrow for my sins, and love that guides my intentions towards salvation. May I receive with faith the sacrament of the Body and Blood of the Lord, embracing its profound truth and power. Tender Father, as I journey through this earthly life and receive Your beloved Son veiled in this mystery, grant that I may one day behold Him face to face in His glory, He who lives and reigns with You forever.Amen.
