A Prayer To The Blessed Virgin

O Most Holy Virgin, who continually stands before the throne of the Most Holy Trinity, you have the privilege to intercede for us with your cherished Son. I implore you to pray for me in all my needs; lend me your assistance, fight for me, give thanks on my behalf, and secure for me the forgiveness of my sins. Particularly aid me in my final moments, and when I can no longer express my thoughts, encourage me, make the sign of the cross over me, anoint me with holy water, and defend me against my adversary. In my name, profess my faith; grant me a sign of my salvation and help me never to lose hope in God’s mercy. Assist me in overcoming the evil one; and when I find myself unable to say, "Jesus, Mary and Joseph, I entrust my soul to you," then speak it for me. When I can no longer understand human comfort, bring me your solace. Do not abandon me until after my judgment; if I must atone for sins in purgatory, I ask you to pray for me fervently, and encourage my friends to help me find a swift path to behold God’s glory. Alleviate my pain, bring me to safety quickly, and lead my soul to Heaven alongside you, so that I, with all the chosen, may eternally bless and praise God and you. Amen. Say three Hail Marys...
