A Spiritual Communion
Ad-free · thanks for praying with Solua
O Jesus, I gaze upon the sacred tabernacle where you dwell in mystery, hidden for my sake. My heart loves you, dear God. Though I am unable to receive you in the Holy Communion, I ask you to come to me and fill me with your grace. Enter spiritually into my heart, cleanse it, and sanctify it, making it like your own. Amen. Lord, I acknowledge my unworthiness for you to come under my roof, yet simply say the word and my soul will be healed. [An indulgence of 500 days, if repeated three times. (129 The Raccolta 19)] It was the Cure of Ars who remarked, "A spiritual communion acts on the soul like the breath on smoldering embers, reigniting the flame that was about to extinguish. Whenever you sense your love for God waning, promptly make a spiritual communion."
