A Thanksgiving Prayer By A Farmer

Heavenly Father, I express my gratitude for the vocation of farming. I am thankful for the connection I have to the soil You created. I find joy in spending so much time outdoors, basking under the sun, a reflection of Your justice and radiant light. I appreciate the rain and the renewal it brings, a reminder of Your abundant and everlasting blessings. I take delight in collaborating with You in the ongoing act of creation by cultivating the food essential for life. By Your mighty will, the seeds I sow flourish. You enrich the earth with nutrients, provide rain and sunlight, wind, and snow, transforming my dry seeds into lush green growth. You have bestowed upon humanity the wisdom to invent machines that ease the burdens of farming. O Lord, I remain in Your powerful embrace. I rely on You for all my needs. Should I plant and nurture, yet You determine my harvest, I will accept it. You are the Sovereign Lord, the Creator of all, who understands what is truly beneficial for me and what could lead to my harm. My trust in You is unwavering and complete. I thank You once more for leading me to this life as a farmer. May I always remember its profound gifts: closeness to You, unwavering faith, and the richness of living in harmony with the earth You have splendidly blessed. Lord, I am thankful that I am a farmer.Amen.
