A Universal Prayer For All Things Necessary To Salvation

O my Lord God, I place my faith in You; please strengthen it. My hopes are anchored in You; grant that they may be secure. I love You with all my heart; help me to grow in my love for You each day. I regret having offended You; increase my sorrow for my sins. I worship You as my beginning; I aspire toward You as my ultimate goal. I express my gratitude to You, my unwavering Benefactor; I call upon You as my supreme Protector. Please, dear God, guide me with Your wisdom, restrain me with Your justice, comfort me with Your mercy, and protect me with Your power. I wish to dedicate all my thoughts, words, actions, and sufferings to You, that moving forward I may think of You, speak of You, always direct my actions to Your greater glory, and willingly endure whatever You set before me. Lord, I desire that in all matters Your will be accomplished, as You will, in the way You choose, and for as long as You decree. I ask You to enlighten my mind, inspire my will, purify my body, and sanctify my soul. Please prevent me from being overwhelmed by pride, swayed by flattery, misled by the world, or deceived by the devil. Grant me the grace to cleanse my memory, restrain my tongue, govern my gaze, and subdue my senses. Give me strength, O my God, to make amends for my wrongs, resist temptations, control my passions, and cultivate the virtues suited to my state. Fill my heart with a deep affection for Your goodness, a hatred for my faults, a love for my neighbor, and a disregard for worldly things. Let me always remember to be obedient to my superiors, kind to those beneath me, loyal to my friends, and charitable to my enemies. Grant me, O Jesus, the grace to remember Your commands and example, loving my enemies, enduring wrongs, doing good to those who persecute me, and praying for those who speak ill of me. Help me to conquer sensual desires through mortification, greed through acts of charity, anger through gentleness, and lukewarmness through fervor. O my God, instill in me prudence in my endeavors, courage in adversity, patience in tribulations, and humility during success. May I always be attentive in prayer, temperate in meals, diligent in work, and steadfast in my good intentions. Let my conscience remain clear and pure, my outward appearance modest, my conversations inspiring, and my life according to Your commandments. Help me to continually strive to overcome my nature, respond to Your grace, keep Your commandments, and work towards my salvation. Assist me in attaining holiness through sincere confession of my sins, devout reception of the Body of Christ, continuous mindfulness, and a pure intention of heart. Reveal to me, O my God, the emptiness of this world, the majesty of heaven, the brevity of life, and the eternity of the next. Grant me preparation for death, a healthy fear of Your judgments, escape from hell, and ultimately, the reward of heaven, through the merits of our Lord Jesus Christ.Amen.
