Act Of Consecration To The Immaculate Heart Of Mary For Religious And Laity
O Virgin of Fatima, Mother of Mercy, Queen of Heaven and Earth, Refuge of Sinners, we, the members of the Marian Movement, dedicate ourselves in a profound way to your Immaculate Heart. Through this act of consecration, we aim to embody, with you and through you, the commitments we made at our baptism. We also commit to fostering the deep spiritual change urgently called for by the Gospel — a transformation that will liberate us from self-attachments and easy compromises with the world, allowing us to continually align ourselves to the will of the Father, just as you do. As we entrust our lives and Christian vocation to you, O most gentle and merciful Mother, we ask that you guide us according to your salvation plans in this critical time facing our world. We resolve to live in accordance with your aspirations, focusing especially on fostering a renewed spirit of prayer and penance, actively participating in the celebration of the Eucharist and apostolic works, reciting the Holy Rosary daily, and leading a life that echoes the teachings of the Gospel, serving as a model for observing God's laws and embracing Christian virtues, particularly purity. We also promise to stand united with the Holy Father, the Church's hierarchy, and our priests, building a strong defense against the mounting confrontations against the Magisterium that threaten the Church's very foundation. Under your protection, we aspire to be apostles of the desperately needed unity in prayer and love for the Pope, whom we seek your special safeguarding over. Finally, as far as possible, we pledge to guide those we encounter towards a revived devotion to you. Aware that atheism has led many of the faithful into a crisis of faith, that desecration has entered God's holy temple, and that evil and sin are proliferating in the world, we humbly raise our eyes to you, O Mother of Jesus, our merciful and powerful Mother. We call upon you once again today, anticipating the salvation of all your children, O clement, O loving, O sweet Virgin Mary.
