Act Of Hope

For the sake of Your mercy, O Lord my God, reveal to me who You are to me. Speak to my spirit: "I am your salvation." Let Your voice reach my ears, O Lord; my heart is eager to listen. Open it so that it may perceive You and hear You say: "I am your salvation." Once I have received this message, may I rush to embrace You. Do not hide your face from me; allow me to behold Your presence, even if it leads me to death, for I would rather die yearning to see it than live in absence. My soul’s dwelling is too confined to welcome You; please expand it. It lies in disarray; restore it, I pray. There are elements within that I acknowledge and confess, which surely displease You. But who will purify it? To whom else can I call for help aside from You? Cleanse me from my hidden transgressions, O Lord, and spare Your servant from the sins of others.Amen.
