Act Of Hope Before Holy Communion

O Christ Jesus, I come to You as a humble sinner, made from dust, acknowledging my frailty. You invite all who are weary and burdened to find peace in You. Aren't You my safe haven? Who else can I rely on? You possess the words that grant everlasting life, and You alone bring solace in times of trouble. Though I am feeble and unwell, You are my salvation. It is the sick who require a healer, not the healthy. Thus, I approach You as my sanctuary, trusting that receiving Communion will strengthen my Faith, Hope, and Charity; serve as a solid shield against the traps set by my foes; assist me in overcoming my faults and shortcomings (mention your faults here...), and encourage me to bear fruit that is pleasing to You, especially...; and be a promise of glory to come. This expresses the hope and longing that dwell within my heart, for You are kind and full of mercy, always true to Your word in every promise.Amen.
