Act Of Love

O my God, the one true love of my soul, what more could You possibly do to inspire my love for You? You were not satisfied with merely dying for me; You established this sacred Sacrament to grant Yourself wholly to me, thereby joining Your entire Heart to the heart of someone as wretched and ungrateful as I am. Furthermore, You invite me to receive You; You yearn passionately for me to accept You. O boundless love! Unfathomable love! A God desires to give Himself to me! My soul, do you truly believe this? What do you do, or what can you say in response? O God, infinitely lovable, the sole being deserving of all love, I cherish You with my entire heart; I hold You above all else; I love You more than myself — more than my very life! Oh, that I could see You loved by everyone! Oh, that I could inspire all hearts to love You as much as You wish! I love You, O most delightful God; and in loving You, I join my wretched heart to the hearts of the Seraphim, to the heart of the most holy Mary, and to the Heart of Jesus, Your most holy Son. In this way, I love You, O infinite Goodness, with the love with which the Saints, with which Jesus and Mary love You.
