Act Of Petition After Holy Communion

O Jesus, compassionate Savior, trusting in Your boundless mercy, I hope to receive through this holy communion all the graces necessary for my deeper sanctification and eternal salvation. I ask for Your forgiveness for all my past wrongdoings, and I earnestly plead for the grace to never again fall into serious sin. I would choose death over a single moment without Your grace and love. Yet, Lord, You know my frailty and my susceptibility to sin. Please empower me with Your grace, so I may faithfully fulfill Your will. You are capable of healing all the ailments of my soul, for You are its true Physician, offering me Your body and blood in this Blessed Sacrament as a remedy for all my weaknesses. Illuminate the shadows of ignorance within me with Your heavenly light; cleanse my will from corruption and malice through the fire of Your divine love; tame within me all wicked desires and help me particularly to conquer my greatest fault. Support me against the temptations of the evil one, the world, and my own flesh, so I may evade their traps. Increase my faith and guide my daily actions by Your example and the teachings of Your holy Gospel. Teach me to cultivate spiritual poverty, to regard the fleeting pleasures and honors of the world with disdain; to embody meekness and humility, to possess my soul in patience; to grow in love for You always and to live continually in Your presence; to be compassionate and generous towards others; and to strive diligently for holiness and perfection each day. May Your divine will be fulfilled in my life. Above all, bestow upon me the grace of perseverance unto the end, that I may attain saintly status. O Mary, immaculate Mother of God! All you angels and saints in heaven! Please, join your prayers to mine as you stand before the throne of Divine grace, especially imploring that I may be united with you in loving, praising, and enjoying God for all eternity.Amen.
