Act Of Sorrow

O God of my spirit, I truly repent for not having loved You as I ought. Instead of embracing Your love, I have chosen my own pleasures, causing offenses against Your boundless goodness. I have turned away from You; in essence, O Lord, I have willingly distanced myself from You. With all my heart, I express my sorrow for my sins. Above all else, I detest the wrongs I have done to You. I trust that You have already purified me from the stains of sin through the sacrament of reconciliation, yet I aspire to be even more pleasing in Your sight. Please cleanse this soul with Your Precious Blood, as You desire it to be Your dwelling place soon.
