Act Of Thanksgiving After Holy Communion
What can I give to You, Lord Jesus, in return for all that You have done for me, particularly today? Your loving care has bestowed upon me Your Body as nourishment and Your Blood as my drink, both serving as a promise of future glory. May my lips be unsealed and my mouth be filled with praise for You, that I might celebrate Your glory and greatness throughout each day and recount all of Your marvelous deeds. O my soul, glorify the Lord, from whom I have received countless and immense blessings; let my spirit rejoice in God, my Savior, for He has noticed my humble state; the Almighty has accomplished great things for me and has satisfied my hunger with good things. May my words bring You joy, Lord; my delight shall be in You, and I will earnestly work to follow Your commandments. Hold me close with Your strong hand and direct me according to Your will, so that You may ultimately welcome me into Your glory, for the sake of Your mercy.Amen.
