Acts Of Reparation To The Sacred Heart Of Jesus

O sweet Jesus, whose immense love for humanity is met with so much neglect and scorn, we come before Your altar, eager to make a heartfelt act of reverence in response to the indifference and harm that Your tender Heart continually endures. Recognizing, with deep sorrow, that we too have contributed to these grave offenses, we humbly seek Your forgiveness and express our willingness to atone for our actions. We desire to offer reparation not only for our personal transgressions but also for those who wander far from salvation, refusing to follow You, their Shepherd, or who, having forsaken their baptismal vows, have rejected the gentle yoke of Your law. We resolve to atone for every offense committed against You, and to rectify the many violations of Christian decency in appearance and conduct, the deliberate temptations aimed at the innocent, the frequent desecrations of Sundays and holy days, and the shocking blasphemies spoken against You and Your Saints. We wish to make amends for the offenses faced by Your earthly Vicar and Your priests, for the desecration of the Sacrament of Divine Love through willful neglect or dreadful sacrilege, and finally for the national sins committed by peoples who defy the rights and teachings of the Church You established. Would that we could atone for these abominations with our own blood! We present this act of reparation in honor of the satisfaction You provided to Your eternal Father on the cross, which is continually renewed on our altars; we unite this offering with the acts of atonement made by Your Virgin Mother, all the Saints, and the devout faithful on earth. We sincerely promise, with Your grace, to compensate for all the disregard for Your immense love and for the sins we and others have committed. From this moment on, we commit to living lives of steadfast faith, purity in our actions, and perfect adherence to the Gospel commandments, particularly that of love. We pledge to the best of our ability to prevent others from offending You and to lead as many as possible to follow You. O loving Jesus, through the intercession of the Blessed Virgin Mary, our model of reparation, kindly accept this voluntary offering of our act of expiation; and by granting us the priceless gift of perseverance, keep us steadfast in our duties and allegiance to You, so that one day we may all arrive at that joyous home where You, along with the Father and the Holy Spirit, reign as God, forever.
