O Shepherd of Israel, listen to our plea, O Guide of Joseph's flock! Awaken your might and come to our rescue. O Lord of Hosts, bring us back to you; may your face shine upon us so that we may find safety. How long, O Lord of Hosts, will your anger linger as your people cry out? You have sustained them with tears for food, and made them drink from a cup overflowing with sorrow. We have become a target for our foes, and our enemies deride us. O Lord of Hosts, bring us back; may your face shine upon us so that we may find safety.
