At The Foot Of The Cross

In the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. I approach the altar of God, to the God who brings joy to my youth. Judge me, O Lord, and take up my case against the unholy nation. Deliver me from the unjust and deceitful person. For You, O Lord, are my strength; why have You rejected me? And why must I walk in sorrow as my enemy torments me? Send forth Your light and Your truth; they shall guide me and bring me to Your holy mountain and to Your dwelling place. I will come to the altar of God, to the God who fills my youth with joy. To You, O God, my God, I will play the harp in praise. Why are you downcast, my soul? Why are you disturbed within me? Put your hope in God, for I will yet praise Him, my Savior and my God. Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit, As it was from the beginning, is now, and will be forever. Amen. I will come to the altar of God, to the God who gives joy to my youth. Our help is in the name of the Lord, who made heaven and earth. May the Almighty God show you mercy, forgive your sins, and lead you to everlasting life. I confess to Almighty God, to blessed Mary ever Virgin, to blessed Michael the Archangel, to blessed John the Baptist, to the holy apostles Peter and Paul, to all the saints, and to you, Father, that I have sinned greatly in thought, word, and deed; through my fault, through my fault, through my most grievous fault. Therefore, I beseech blessed Mary, ever Virgin, blessed Michael the Archangel, blessed John the Baptist, the holy apostles Peter and Paul, all the saints, and you, Father, to pray to the Lord our God for me. The Lord be with you. And with your spirit. Take away our sins, O Lord, that we may enter with pure hearts into the holy of holies. Through Christ our Lord.
