The Joyful Missionary Throughout his early years in America, Seelos was known as a cheerful ascetic, known for his humor and upbeat spirit. His dedication to pastoral care and his ability to bring joy to those around him were hallmarks of his ministerial approach. He exemplified how faith could manifest through laughter and compassion. O St. Francis Xavier, you brought joy to those you served, even in their trials. Help us to be bearers of joy and light in our own communities. May your laughter and cheerful spirit inspire us to create welcoming and joyful environments for all. Grant that I may spread joy and love in my daily interactions.
