Joyful Spirit Amid Suffering Seelos was known as a 'cheerful ascetic,' who maintained a spirit of joy even while enduring personal hardships. His joyful demeanor in the midst of suffering served as a beacon of hope to others. He understood the importance of faith and joy and how they could uplift the spirit during difficult times. O St. Francis Xavier, your joyful spirit lightens the burdens of those around you. Teach us to embrace joy in our own trials, finding hope in our faith. Help us to be beacons of light for others facing their own struggles. May I draw strength from your joyful example when facing life's challenges.
