The Call to Religious Life In 1896, Solanus made the significant decision to join the Capuchin order in Detroit, a choice that required deep faith and commitment. His journey to ordination was fraught with challenges, yet he remained steadfast in his calling. This decision marked the beginning of his lifelong dedication to serving God and others, reminding us that authentic vocation often comes through struggle and trust. O Blessed Solanus, your courage to follow God’s call inspires us to seek our own vocations. Help us discern Your will in our lives and embrace the paths laid before us. May we trust wholeheartedly in God’s plan, even amid uncertainty. I turn to you for assistance in understanding my vocation and following it faithfully.
