Cemetery Prayer

O God, in this moment we are reminded of those dear to us who have departed from this earth. What joy we experienced when they were present in our lives! The love we shared enriched our days together. Their memories continue to bless us eternally. Though months or even years have gone by, their presence feels close to us. Our hearts ache for them, and while the sharpness of our sorrow may have lessened, a lingering sadness remains, for the space where they once stood is now void. The connections of life may be severed, but the bonds of love and longing endure. Their spirits remain intertwined with ours always. Lord, I am grateful for the gift of these cherished individuals in my life. Their presence, words, deeds, and love have truly enriched me. My sorrow is not for them, but for myself, as I deeply miss their company. We shared countless moments, even though they seemed to pass too quickly. Aid me, O God, in recognizing that the gap between us is not insurmountable, and that one day, we shall be reunited in paradise. Together, we will exalt You, Almighty Father, Your Son, Jesus Christ, and the Holy Spirit for all time.Amen.
