Creator Of The Radiant Light

O Creator of glorious light, separating day from deep night; with the bright source of light, you initiated the world's formation. You who measured the light of morning and evening, labeling it as day; as the dark night begins to cover the heavens, hear our sighs and tears. While we are weighed down by our sins and fallen into the clutches of Satan; while fleeting joys lead us astray, may our souls not depart from our bodies. Let us knock at heaven's door for mercy; let us seek to open the gates of eternal life: may we turn away from all that is evil and atone for our past wrongs. Most compassionate Father, listen to us; Co-equal Son, accept our supplication; O Holy Spirit, heed our call: who reigns in unity eternally. Amen. V. May my prayer rise up to You, O Lord. R.
