O Blessed Apostle, Prince of the Apostles, Vicar of Our Lord, Shepherd of all believers, Rock upon which the Church stands, we express our gratitude to the Chief Shepherd who, throughout the ages of Faith, has united this nation tenderly and firmly with you and the Holy See of Rome from which it received its conversion. We glorify and honor our Lord for the courageous Confessors who sacrificed their lives for your glory and rights during the time when schism and heresy swept across the land. We yearn to rekindle the fervor, devotion, and love of former times. We dedicate our nation, as much as we are able, earnestly and lovingly to you. We present our homage to you. We reaffirm our fidelity to the Pope, your successor, who now occupies the Apostolic See. Please confirm and strengthen, through your powerful intercession, the faith of the leaders and followers who call upon you. Deliver us from apostasy, division, indifference, and the dangers brought by ignorance and temptation that threaten our little flock. O deeply sincere and humble penitent, grant us tears of genuine remorse for our wrongdoings and instill in us a profound personal love for our Divine Master. O Keeper of the Heavenly Keys, open the gates of Heaven for us, that we may partake in the joy of the King of Glory. Remember this land of England, which flourished in grace and unity under your blessed apostolic guidance for nearly a thousand years. Pray to Jesus that all may recognize the path and return to your Fold, the One Fold of Christ. Amen. V. You are Peter. R. And upon this rock, I will build My Church. Let us pray.
