Easter Acts Of Consecration

devotional
The prayer

To be prayed at the start of each prayer below: Leader: Let us offer ourselves and everyone to the love and safeguarding of the Mother of God. All: Holy Mother of God, Mary ever Virgin, intercede for us with our Lord God. Leader: The Almighty has performed marvelous deeds for us. All: And holy is His name. Leader: Let us pray: Sunday Mary, On this Day of the Lord, We joyfully celebrate the fulfillment of the miracle God began within you. He took on our nature So that we may share in His divinity. He is Risen, the first of those who have died. He reigns eternally as our Lord and God. In your amazement at the wondrous acts the Almighty accomplished in you, We too marvel at being chosen as children of God, Empowered to form a community of saints, Commissioned to carry Christ into the world. With you as our guide and inspiration, May God bring this good work to fruition And may our offering of all we possess and are to you Lead us to partake in your blessedness. Amen. Monday Mary, God has performed a great miracle: Jesus has risen! We are no longer bound by death, For He has freed us from our chains. We need not live in fear, For He is our steadfast hope. We are not alone or forsaken, For He has embraced us as friends. May your faith, even in the face of death itself, May your hope, which seemed buried with Him, May your love, which was almost silenced by the disciples' fear, May your joy in the Risen Savior fill our hearts today, As we, in your name and for your glory, fulfill our Easter mission To go forth and proclaim the Good News to all. Amen. Tuesday Mary, We, your children, Look to you as we reflect on The Resurrection of Jesus - your Son and our brother. Teach us how that extraordinary moment can humble the proud, Uplift the lowly, satiate the hungry, And challenge the wealthy - even now. Confident in God's might and love, Trusting in the Risen Lord, Relying on the promised Spirit, The Advocate of Life and Truth, We commit our lives, in your name and for your honor, To the transformative power of Easter. Amen. Wednesday Mary, In the radiant light of Easter, Teach us that nothing is beyond God's reach. All our confrontations with ourselves and others, All our disappointments and regrets, All our failures and sins Are dwarfed in this healing, life-giving brightness. Accept, therefore, our offering. May God regard it, As the Mighty One once regarded our humble state, So that we might receive the blessings Promised to all the children of the Resurrection. Amen. Thursday Mary, We lift our Alleluias today, for Jesus has risen. Our souls exalt the greatness of the Lord, Our spirits rejoice in our Risen Savior. May your song be echoed in our lives In every moment of this day, so that God's might, Which can achieve far beyond our wishes or dreams, May persist in bringing life from death and light from darkness, Transforming our modest efforts Into triumph over death through your Son. Amen. Friday Mary, The cross of death has transformed into the Tree of Life, and we rejoice. God has sent forth the Spirit, And the world awakens to new life. Jesus has risen! Teach us to no longer fear the divisions and death; Teach us to welcome Jesus, the paradox, And to reveal our innermost thoughts To the healing radiance of Easter. In your name and for your honor, We will embrace the Paschal Mystery Today and, with you, witness its fulfillment On the day of Resurrection. Amen. Saturday Mary, We seek your powerful presence today, As you once shared it With the frightened disciples in the Upper Room. Teach us, as you did them, to trust in God's promises, In our brother and Lord, Jesus, And in the Advocate and Comforter, The Spirit of Life, Love, and Truth. May we live as you did, filled with hopeful assurance, And be transformed by the Resurrection's power Into true followers and doers of God's will.Amen.
