Easter Prayer

devotional
The prayer

Father: Christ has risen, Alleluia. Family: Indeed, He is risen, Alleluia. Father: The Lord has risen from the dead, Alleluia. Family: He who was crucified for our sake, Alleluia. Father: Let us pray. O God, by Your only Son You have conquered death this day and opened for us the door to eternal life; gratify the noble intentions You have given us, and through Your steadfast support, make them fruitful. Through our Lord Jesus Christ, Your Son, who lives and reigns forever and ever. Family: Alleluia, Alleluia. Father: This is the day made by the Lord, Alleluia. Family: Let us rejoice and be glad in it, Alleluia. Father: Let us sing to God the Father, and to God the Son, our Risen King. Family: And let us equally worship the Spirit, God forever and always, Alleluia. Father: Praise the Lord, for He is good, Family: Give thanks to our Lord, for He is gracious, it is proper to praise Him. Sing to the Lord in gratitude; sing praises with the harp to our God, Who cloaks the heavens with clouds, providing rain for the earth; Who causes grain to grow on the mountains and herbs for the service of mankind; Who feeds the cattle, and the young ravens when they cry out. He takes no delight in the strength of horses, nor is He pleased by the might of men. The Lord delights in those who revere Him, and in those who trust in His mercy. Father: Now that the Sabbath has passed, Mary Magdalene, Mary the mother of Jesus, and Salome purchased sweet spices to anoint Jesus. And very early on the first day of the week, they came to the tomb as the sun was rising. And they wondered to one another: Who will roll away the stone from the entrance of the tomb for us? But upon looking, they saw the stone rolled back, it was enormous. And as they entered the tomb, they saw a young man dressed in white sitting on the right side; and they were alarmed. He said to them: Do not be afraid. You seek Jesus of Nazareth, who was crucified. He has risen! He is not here! Look at the place where they laid Him. But go, tell His disciples, and Peter, that He goes ahead of you into Galilee and there you will see Him, as He promised you. [Mark 16:1-7] The resurrection They laid Him in a stone tomb, Dead, alone and helpless. But on Easter morning, before dawn, He rose alive, in glorious light!
