Easter Tuesday Prayer
Keep your family engaged in the joy of the Easter season by reflecting on this excerpt from the Gospel of Luke about the Risen Christ on Easter Tuesday. Father: Christ is risen, Alleluia. Family: He is indeed risen, Alleluia. Father: Let us pray. O God, Thou dost continually renew Thy Church with a living heritage; enable us, Thy servants, to embody in our daily actions the strength of the mystery we have encountered through faith. Through Christ our Lord. Family: Alleluia, Alleluia. Father: As they conversed, Jesus appeared among them and said: "Peace be with you. It is I, have no fear." But they were startled and frightened, believing they were seeing a spirit. He then said to them: "Why are you troubled, and why do doubts arise in your hearts? Look at My hands and My feet; it is I, Myself. Touch and see, for a spirit does not have flesh and bones as I do." And showing them His hands and feet, their disbelief remained as joy filled their hearts, and He asked them: "Do you have anything to eat?" They presented Him with a piece of broiled fish and some honeycomb. After consuming it in their presence, He handed them the leftovers. [Luke 24:36-43]
