Evening Prayer,
Beloved Lord, As I settle down each night, Lying here in my bed, A simple prayer comes to mind, A thought I often dread. Please keep my mom and dad, And all my family too. Surround them with your warmth and care, Keep them safe, I ask of you. And Lord, there's one more request, I hope you won't mind, Could you also bless my computer, With love that's truly kind? I know it seems unusual, To bless a motherboard, But listen closely, dear Lord, While I share, in truth, my word. That little metal casing, Holds more than just some parts, Within its tiny chambers, Reside many cherished hearts. I've come to know them well, For the kindness they extend, This small piece of machinery Connects me to my friends. Like faith in you, I sense their care, Through life's trials and cheer, Our friendship has deepened, As we share all that we hold dear. So take just a moment, Lord, From your duties high above, To bless those in my contact list, Filled with memories and love. Wherever else this prayer may go, To every single friend, Bless their inboxes and hearts, And all messages they send. When you update your records, On your celestial drive, Remember each one who speaks this prayer, As we strive to keep love alive.
