Evening Prayer Of A Rural Family

O wise and merciful God, we bring before You our heartfelt prayer; sheltered from the storms and darkness beneath this roof, this family humbly kneels in worship to You. We express our gratitude for the day that has passed, for safeguarding us in body and spirit. We thank You sincerely. For the beauty of hilltops and lush greenery, for sunlight, the gentle breeze, and the vast expanse around us, for rain and the vibrant hues of the sky, for branches adorned with blooms and the pure cold of snow, we offer our eternal thanks. For the creatures of the air and land, for the rich soil and the seeds that yield an abundant harvest; for the countless times we have been nourished by that bounty, we bless Your name and are grateful forever. Grant us safe passage, if it aligns with Your will, from floods and droughts, from famine, conflict, and calamity. Provide us tomorrow, as You have for yesterday and today, with all that is essential for a righteous life; and inspire within us a deep sorrow for our sins against You. God of home and harvest, here we kneel as Your children in adoration. Bless our rest this night and keep us securely until the dawn.
