Fifth Centenary Prayer

O God, Your Word of Life arrived in these lands five hundred years ago, and it continues to urge us to share the saving message of Christ. Today, we beseech You for a new dawn of evangelization in these regions. Send us forth to lead others towards You, into Your peace, into Your Church, and into lives devoted to the Gospel. As a community composed of diverse cultures and backgrounds, let our voices unite in speaking hope and welcoming all. May our hands raise the torch of new life and solidarity high. May our hearts long for justice and truth. Strengthen and renew our courage to reach out to those in greatest need among us. Together in faith and prayer with Mary, the Virgin Mother of the Americas, keep us constant in Your love as we pursue Your dream of a renewed world. We ask this in the name of Christ, Our Lord.Amen.
