Fire Chief's Prayer

Lord, I have been entrusted with many responsibilities, and I have now returned to Your presence. I have left behind my dear ones to stand before You. I seek not to complain, but there are some requests I wish to make. I ask You, Lord, to grant them for my beloved ones, whom I cherish deeply. I feel bold to ask because I know how You have favored me in the past. My faith in Your grace has carried me this far, O Lord. Thus, I come before You in humble prayer as a Fire Chief. Please bless my wife and family, often left behind in my absence. They understood my duty and relied on You to bring me back safely. Now that I am home, I await their arrival; please keep them steadfast in their faith, so that one day we may reunite in this heavenly place. Also, dear God, watch over the men I trained with care. I strove to fulfill Your will with them and lead them as You would have me lead. I seek assurance that You are with them, Lord; otherwise, how can I find peace and enjoy this eternal day? In this heaven where there is no darkness, no flames to harm or destroy, I find my rest, my due reward. Lord, watch over my community and protect it as much as possible, for all its inhabitants are precious to me. They are my friends, and by Your grace, I have served them to the best of my ability. So please hear this prayer of a Fire Chief, O Lord, and grant my requests; I trust that You will.
